Brad and Angelina walking in the grounds of Carnell Estate in Scotland
OK, so when we go up to Glasgow we usually go by rail, but unlike Brangelina and their clan we get a saver return rather than hiring a whole train to ourselves. But however you get there, there's no denying that this is one of the coolest cities in Scotland.
Brad Pitt's filming zombie flick World War Z here - the city's actually doubling up as Philadelphia in the movie and was chosen because of its US style grid layout. Angelina Jolie has come along with the weans (that's 'kids' in Glaswegian) and the couple are reported to be staying at the Carnell Estate Mansion near Kilmarnock, a beautiful 16th Century tower and mansion house set within extensive gardens and parklands.
'Clangelina' are bound to want to explore Glasgow. The shopping is some of the best in the UK, so we wouldn't be surprised to see them mooching around the Italian Centre on John Street and Ingram Street, Glasgow's 'mini Milan' , housed in the beautifully restored buildings of the Merchant City area of town with loads of designer shops like Armani and Gucci. And Brad might be tempted to try one or two of the 250 single malt whiskies on offer at Òran Mór (www.oran-mor.co.uk), a bar housed in an atmospheric old church in the heart of Glasgow's West End. The place has one of the largest selections in Scotland, and that's saying something. Beltar (really good), as the locals would say!
