We hear Keira Knightley is about to pack her bags for a trip to Croatia to film The Beautiful And the Dammed. It’s the story of Zelda Fitzgerald, beautiful wife of the novelist F Scott, whose tempestuous relationship scandalised society in the 1920s.

The Croatian filming is taking place in Opatija, a small town surrounded by woodland on the beautiful Istrian peninsula (above), in the province of Dalmatia. The craggy coast line here means that the waters are some of the clearest in the Adriatic. We love beautiful Hvar too, fast becoming one of the hippest party spots in Europe for those in the know.  The vibe here is barefoot glamour and mellow.
Dubrovnik is the province’s capital and offers medieval charm, great restaurants and a sophisticated edge – check out the Eastwest beach club, where  you’ll spot scores of supermodels and the odd celeb.

And you must visit Korkula (above), a Grazia Travel Club insider secret – narrow cobbled streets gives it charm in spades plus there's a super luxe hotel – result! Grazia Travel Club can sort out a Croatian fab itinerary for you, just click here to get the ball rolling.
