No prizes for guessing where we want to stay this year in Ibiza – it’s the newly opened Ibiza Rocks House at Pikes. Pikes was an '80's institution (Grace Jones and Freddie Mercury had some of the parties of the decade there) and now the place has been reworked for a new era into the hot place to stay in Ibiza. Pikes is run by the people behind Ibiza Rocks, so expect to bump into stars such as Mark Ronson, Plan B and the Biffy Clyro lads, who'll be no doubt be hanging out there after they’ve played their Ibiza Rocks gigs.
These same acts will also playing at the Mallorca Rocks Hotel too. While the Mallorca Rocks experience is no less full-on than it’s Ibiza sister venue, Majorca itself is altogether a more sophisticated place than you might think – so good in fact that we’ve selected it as one of the élite bunch of destinations included in our Grazia Travel Club. Sophisticated Palma, the island’s capital, is like a mini Barcelona – it’s chic and sophisticated, with great shopping. Inland there’s some beautiful scenery dotted with ancient fincas – some of which have been converted into homes for stars like Catherine Zeta-Jones and Claudia Schiffer. The north of the island is the place for a totally chilled out experience with resorts like pretty Port de Sóller with its sweet tram that runs along the sea front that’s nicknamed the Orange Express.
