As if you needed an excuse to go to visit beautiful Edinburgh, this stylish city of festivals has its film festival on this week. Grazia’s going to be in town on Friday 26 August, for the Book Festival, when we’ll be hosting an audience with The Social Network author Ben Mezrich, and we can’t wait to get to town (see below for details on how to join us).

One of the city’s (and in fact the UK’s) most stylish hotels is the Hotel Missoni (Hotel Missoni George IV Bridge, EH1 12AD, pictured above). Sumptuous and luxurious, the bold use of colour is everything you would expect of Missoni. Rooms from £240 per night.

Top of the list of places we like is '21212' is the wonderful restaurant-with-rooms (21212, 3 Royal Terrace). With only four bedrooms, it pays to book well in advance. Each of the very well proportioned rooms is individual with either ensuite shower, bath or wetroom. All have essentials like flatscreen TV and wi fi - rates start from £175 per night. Downstairs is the amazing Michelin-starred restaurant (below) - modern French cooking with melt-in-the-mouth dishes like baked sea bass fillet with lemon and Saffron Pancakes. Delish!

For an after-dinner drink one of the best places is the city has to be Bramble (Bramble Bar, 16A Queen St). This is an intimate little venue and their signature cocktail is wicked mix of Plymouth Gin, lemon juice and Crème de Mures – well worth stopping by for.
