London has no shortage of super cool hotels – the new W hotel, for instance, or the refurbished Savoy. Well, from July, there’ll be another name to add to that list, when the Eccleston Square Hotel, reopens after its gazillion pound (actually £6.5 million) makeover which, in their words, offers a ‘perfect synergy between the historic charm of a Grade II listed facade and James Bond like technological enhancements’, and in our words gives you something gorgeous to look at and the boyfriend something to play with. Ace!
As well as the super slick design that you’d expect from a high-end hotel (minimal luxe décor, £12,000 Hästens beds with massage mattresses, that kind of thing) the hotel also offers an ipad 2 in every room which guests can use to control all aspects of their stay, from lighting control to room service.
Eccleston Square itself is one of those gorgeous stucco-fronted squares in London’s exclusive Belgravia. The hotel is taking full advantage of this amaze location with its ‘Bistro on the Square’ restaurant, where head chef Nikki Low, who has trained under Gordon Ramsay, will be offering up a host of treats to guests and visitors. Yum.
