When choosing a hotel who doesn’t like to aim high? Well, now you can scale some really dizzy heights at the Ritz Carlton in Hong Kong, the world’s tallest hotel which opened this week.

Towering 490 metres over the Hong Kong skyline, the hotel is the fourth highest buiding in the world and has amazing views of Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong island and the New Territories. It’s super luxurious with an Espa spa located on the 116th floor and the roof top terrace is set to become the space to sip a cocktail come sundown, providing you don't suffer from vertigo. Oh and we like the sound of the Chocolate Library on the 103rd floor, serving, you've guessed it, chocolate dishes all day long!

The Ritz Carlton has just taken the crown from another Chinese hotel. The Park Hyatt in Shanghai occupies the 79th to 93rd floors of the World Financial Center. Complete with tai chi courtyard, the hotel is Grazia Daily’s favourite place to rest our heads when staying in the city.

Of course it’s no surprise that the place with the most skyscraper hotels in the world is Dubai – with the Armani Hotel Dubai, the Rose Rayhaan and the Burj Al Arab.

The Armani Hotel, Georgio Armani's first-ever hotel, drips luxury and style, with fashionable decor and 'lifestyle managers' instead of hotel receptionists, all dressed head to toe in Armani. The hotel also boasts an Armani sweetshop and florist ... oh, and the world's highest swimming pool. Soaring 333 metres and 72 storeys, the flower-shaped Rose Rayhaan is the flagship of an alcohol-free company so tends to appeal to business travellers and families. Resembling a billowing sail, the iconic Burj al Arab climbs 321 metres and bills itself the world’s most luxorious hotel. With rain showers and Jacuzzis in every suite, a Rolls Royce and helicopter fleet and butlers on call around the clock, it’s no wonder that Naomi Campbell, Victoria and David Beckham and Eva Herzigova have all been spotted here - this is super luxurious even for Dubai!
