After Paris, New York and London, the Fash Pack are now in Milan for their Fashion Week. And, if you’re a discerning fashion editor, it’s not just what you wear that’s important, but where you stay too.
In the US corner is American Vogue editrix Anna Wintour, who leads the American pack of Editors and buyers, basing themselves at the Four Seasons - a superchic 15th century convent is just a few minutes walk from the couture houses on the exclusive Via Gesù.
Then there’s The Hotel Bulgari, home to the European crowd. This hotel has a much more sleek, chic modern feel to it. Even if you don’t stay there, it’s worth making a detour to use their amazing spa – the signature massage is just the thing after the shows or a days strolling around the shops - ask for Sofia – she’s amazing!
Our top tip if you wanting to stay in Milan is the hotel that’s the fashion crowd’s favourite aftershow drinking hole – the Principe di Savoia, part of the Dorchester Collection, is an elegant 19th century building that drips Italian style. Its Winter Garden is the place for some of Milan Fashion Week’s best parties and you’re bound to bump into celebs hanging out at the hotel’s Prinipe bar.
