SPOILER ALERT: more genius SATC2 casting!
The casting in SATC just gets better and better. News reaches us that A-lister Penélope Cruz has now signed up to appear in the movie. No doubt her feline European beauty will form some genius plot twist with the sassy Manhattanites (apparently she's playing herself on the red carpet). We love it.
But sorry, Penélope, you probably haven’t even filmed your scenes yet, but as far as Grazia is concerned, you’ve already been upstaged. Because the newly-engaged gay best friends of Carrie and Charlotte – Stanford Blatch and Anthony Marentino – are pulling out aaall the stops to steal the limelight from the Fab Four. The couple have booked none other than Liza Minelli to appear at their wedding and – beyond brilliant - she’s going to be singing Beyoncé’s Single Ladies. We just know this is going to be one of the best moments in the whole film!
As Jennifer Hudson, Candice Bergen and André Leon Talley learnt in the last movie; it’s not easy to pull focus from Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda. But we think with a masterstroke like this,

- Anthony and Stanford? Admittedly, Charlotte, and secretly we, all wanted it to happen, but now that it has, it STILL doesn't quite make sense. C'mon, they HATED eachother!
JoBc87 - Am I the only one who doesn't want to know the plot of the entire film and who'll be in it before it is even premiered? Surely, if we know exactly what is going to happen, it will be something of an anti-climax when it eventually hits the big screen. I do think Penelope Cruz embodies class though, even more so because she had no qualms dumping control freak Tom Cruise.
