We first fell in love with Freida Pinto after her amazing performance as Latika in Danny Boyle's Oscar-buzzed-about movie Slumdog Millionaire. The 24-year-old, who has had no formal acting training, entrances in her first film role playing the love interest of a boy from Mumbai's slums who grows up to win Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. And now we think our girl crush is about to get bigger. As the film gathers momentum on the awards circuit, Freida's hitting the red carpet in style. In a Roland Mouret azure gown from the designer's new Jersey Collection, the former model was the talk of the Cartier-sponsored Palm Springs International Film Festival Gala - with even Leonardo DiCaprio apparently eager to chat to her. Freida herself is staying modest. ‘Not often do you see a middle-class girl from the suburbs of Mumbai, who is just one film old, at international film festivals. I believe that destiny and luck had a big part to play. But I do enjoy some of perks dues to the success.' Like fabulous red carpet gowns perhaps, Freida? That's fine with us. We'll be watching at Sunday's Golden Globes...
