The funniest job advert EVER

default

It doesn't take much to have us laughing out loud here at Grazia but a story in the New York Times has had us in stitches this morning. Rebecca Land Soodak is a harassed mother of four who needed to find a new live-in nanny. So she wrote what is the funniest job advert we've ever read and posted it on an internet site to solicit applications. It's quite possibly the most honest take on raising children you'll ever read - the opening line of the piece is ‘My kids are a pain'! She goes on: 'If you are the type who doesn't notice crumbs on the table, skip to the next post, because crumbs are a deal breaker.' And on: 'I have all sorts of theories on how to stack my dishwasher, and if you are judgmental about Ritalin for ADHD, or think such things are caused by too much sugar, again, deal-break city.' Rebecca clearly struck a chord with thousands of other women, as the posting has been whizzing around inboxes in America until the NY Times picked up on it. Read it in all its hilarious glory here.
