Today’s hot ticket was none other than Grazia fave Prada, and we were beyond excited to check out the amazing looks being created backstage. What’s more, when we spied not 2, but 3 beauty pros working their magic behind-the-scenes, we knew this was going to one incredible show. Make-up expert Pat McGrath was on hand for the make-up and Redken expert Guido Palau was over in the hair department alongside Josh Wood, Wella colour wizz. Honestly- we’ve never seen a 3-some like this before!
The emphasis was on colour this season (hence Josh was roped in to the proceedings) and specific shades of blonde, red, brown and black were hand-blended to match each model’s hair. Make-up was equally colourful and Pat McGrath explained that a bespoke colour range was applied to the girls’ eyelids with Temptu airbrush make-up systems: “Rebellious colour and a tough, strong spirit of girl gangs.” We love!
Fendi’s show also brought us another stunning beauty look where the vibrant shades painted on to the models’ lips matched the bright hues of the SS collection. Totally gorgeous! What’s more, hair guru Sam McKnight accentuated the beauty look with short black wigs complete with low-hanging bangs.
Finally, as the sun was setting over Milan, Ports 1961 took to the catwalk and the models wowed us with their super-sleek buns and high-shine wet-look hair. Phew- what a day! Check out our top beauty moments in the gallery here… Enjoy ladies!
