Beauty Highlights From London Fashion Week: Boyish Babes At Clements Ribeiro And Power Pouts At Rihanna For River Island

17 February 2013 by

After a quiet first day things took a turn for the hectic with a flurry of shows on day two. Allow us to introduce our pick of the most beautiful moments...

1. Nail The New Season Now

After last season's abundance of nude nails things seem set to be rather more exuberant for autumn/winter 2013. At Sister by Sibling Lorraine Griffin painted nails in Paris Color Riche Varnishes in either Ingenious Rose or Perle de Jade, using the opposite colour to paint on a contrasting tip. Pretty or what?

2. Getting Juicy

There's nothing like racing between backstage areas to leave a girl feeling somewhat tired and jaded. We kept perky on day two by downing plenty of PLENISH Juices. Full to bursting with all manner of green organic-ness they just so happen to be favoured by Victoria's Secrets Angels too. What's not to love?

3. Boyish Babes

At Clements Ribeiro Sam McKnight followed on the success of last season's faux bob by whipping up an army of soft, organic boyish crops. "These are attitudey, cool young things," he told us backstage. "There's definitely a bit of a punk movement going on at the moment."

4. Good Foot First

In a busy backstage at Todd Lynn each model's pristine boxed Louboutins were topped with Treats For Feet Heel Shields and Gel cushions. We do love a brand which looks after their girls.

5. Power Pout

At The Old Sorting Office for the Rihanna for River Island show we not only caught sight of Riri herself (sigh/gasp/scream), but also took a moment to catch up with makeup maestro Sam Bryant. "We used MAC Ruby Woo lipstick," she said. "Put simply it's the best red ever. It's very foxy - very Rihanna and I asked the girls to apply it themselves." Amen to that!
