Ah, what could be better than spending Saturday in sunny Milano? Well, quite. Beginning at the Bottega Veneta show, we saw forties-style frocks in slender silhouettes and vintage-perfect prints. 'It's about making women feel confident,' designer Tomas Maier told Style.com backstage. We then moved onto Fendi where futuristic, sculptural looks created a three-dimensional effect. Next stop was Jil Sander's return to her namesake label after eight years. In a sci-fi-like white show space, we were treated to a Spring Summer 2013 collection of pristine pieces that reclaimed her minimalist reign. Finally Emilio Pucci saw a departure from kaleidoscopic prints and a step towards Asian references, with slouchy bomber jackets emblazoned with embroidered dragons, flowers, and tigers.
