It's the fifth and final day of London Fashion Week (SOB!) but boy, have we seen a stellar finale. Here are our highlights from the last installment of what has been a truly memorable Autumn Winter 2012 fashion week...
1. On ya bike!
What a spectacle the Anya Hindmarch show was this morning! It was non-stop fun from the beginning, but our favourite moment was when the curtains curled back to reveal the designer herself pedalling away to motor the whole robotics of the show. Read our full report here.
2. Central support
It's great to see the fashion designers of tomorrow getting support from an early start, so when we heard Bally were teaming up with a Central St Martins MA student to produce one full look, we couldn't resist stopping by. This knitted jacket bowled us over with its asymmetric cut and ribbing detail. We fell for the go-faster stripe trousers too.
3. DIY Day
By Day 5, our LFW outfits become a little less chic and little more casual - and that's why it's so impressive to see people at the shows getting so DIY creative. Today, we spotted this brilliant phone cover, customised with a glue gun, and a set of collar and cuffs funked up by this lovely lady. How genius!
4. Girls just want to have fun
The Meadham Kirchhoff show was all about the smiles. From the cartoon 3D invite, to the 90s light up disco dance floor to the models' Cindy Lauper-inspired hair dos, this one proved that fashion really can be fun!
5. Ashish's slogans
Ever since his collaboration with Topshop, we have loved Ashish's slogans. His A/W collection didn’t disappoint with knits emblazoned with 'BE HAPPY', 'POR FAVOUR', 'RELAX', 'SAY NO TO DRUGS' and 'ENQUIRE WITHIN'. Now you can wear your heart on your sleeve...
6. Poppy Delevigne's double up
When we spotted Poppy Delevigne on the Ashish front row, we had to do a double take. Hadn't we seen this outfit already? Yes indeedy, our dear Pops had worn the very same ensemble just a few days before. You gotta love the credit-crunching.
So do tell: what were YOUR highlights from London Fashion Week? Let's relive the happy memories, shall we?
