LFW S/S '12 Show Report: Peter Pilotto
Third day in, 9am show - it will take a lot for print princes, Peter Pilotto to please this fashion posse. And they most certainly did.
The blue sky and sunshine beamed through the glass globe at the Topshop Eurostar venue while models paraded down the catwalks in beautiful prints inspired from their recent trip to the Indonesian Isle of Java. The printed duo took things to another level by adding embroidery to the sculptured pieces giving a 3-d effect, that jumped off the catwalk. Sporty swim tops and suits accompanied surf pants, a collaboration with hot US swimwear designer Lisa Marie Fernandez known for her 90's zip up suits and muscle back straps. Shoes by Nicholas Kirkwood had us leaping out of our seats to see with perspex contrasting colours, heels to straps that tied in nicely with crystal and embroidery detailing that matched the ready to wear. Tropical prints popped out in fluro brights and exaggerated proportions.
All in all, a really stand out collection to a fabulous London Fashion Week.
