LFW S/S '12 Show Report: Daks

Originally designed in 1976, the DAKS house check was given a revamp for Spring/Summer 2012. Printed on terry towelling playsuits, silk blouses and tote bags - overall the collection was a success and new Head of Womenswear and accessories Sheila McKain-Waid, to be commended.

With the British 50’s seaside holiday as inspiration, the full-skirted 50’s style skirts, wrapped shirts and halter neck tops with wide leg trousers were a safe and wearable way to channel the era. But after such a successful AW11 season and lacking the drama of last season’s couture style quilted skirts, surpassing it was going to be hard! But to find out what did we liked, disliked, and what we put on our shopping lists, read on below…

Favourite look: Check terry towelling playsuit and tote

Favourite piece: PVC layered trench

What would we wear most: The navy zip from jersey dress – great for summer hols!

What caught the FROW’s eye: The 50’s style open front circle skirts
