LFW S/S ‘12 Beauty Report: Maria Grachvogel

Some time before lunchtime (we think - today has been a bit of a fabulous fashion blur), we hotfooted it down to the ballroom - at The Savoy no less - to catchup with Grazia faves Mel Arter and Kenna backstage at Maria Grachvogel.  "Maria's really exaggerated her soft draping of clothes this season, it's fabulously soft and whimsical so we wanted a beauty look that gave the girls a really cool, tough edge," explained Kenna.

In terms of hair styling this meant serious quantities of fierce, high impact shine and a zig-zag parting inspired by Maria's lightening dress from the S/S '12 collection.  Lashings of GHD Final Fix Hairspray and a GHD Max Styler meanwhile produced a swishy, straight pony that was tied up with leather rope, in a nod to the tribal.

Over in make-up, a chic and very calm Mel worked up feminine painterly lightening flashes of lime across girl's eyes using a recipe of MAC Chromaline Pigments in Primary Yellow, Pure White and Landscape Green. A brushed up brow, luscious damson coloured lip in MAC's Lipstick Amplified in Up the Amp and lack of mascara completed the look perfectly. We loved!
