PFW Beauty Report: Akris

06 March 2011

Keep it simple, ladies. That's the message at Akris this morning.

Low ponytails and a strong side parting were on the hair menu backstage. 'It's a ponytail with character,' Guido told us. This woman is minimal and happy to play with two hair textures. The rough pony was created with a blast of Redken Wax Blast so it wasn't entirely sleek, whilst a shot of Redken Shine Flash, in a strip across the front of the head, was applied for that two-texture effect.

Diane Kendall, whose signature make-up made another appearance at Akris, played on the red-ish colours from the collection by creating a wash of rusty shadow over the eyelid, teaming it with highlighted skin. 'This reddy/brown colour suits any skin tone,' Diane said. That's our new season eye sorted then!
