MFW A/W ’11 report - D&G

25 February 2011

The Dolce boys love a theme and this season it was the fun filled Eighties heralded by bosom buddy Madonna’s 'Strike a Pose' soundtrack and the white runway, speckled with day glo letters of the alphabet.

This was an exuberant departure from last seasons’ Edenic vision (think floral Boho dresses and gingham). D&G’s young fans may not have experienced the 80's first hand but they’ll happily slip into next season’s bold printed and logoed T shirts, leggings, fluoro tube dresses and skirts and shiny cropped bomber jackets; sometimes all at once!

The accessories du jour included rainbow coloured toy-like letter necklaces, high wedge sneakers, and for the morning after the night before, sunglasses – essential kit for clubbers. To close the show the girls wore oversize silk T-shirts with sorbet coloured feathered tutus.
