Craig Lawrence, the most avant-garde of all of
A/W ’11 showed far far more shapes, from swishable maxi dresses and skirts to jumpers, jackets and oversized hooded cardigans and even leggings – all of them knitted of course, but still, there was a lot to think about. Easier to imagine them hanging in a cutting edge boutique – or even hanging on us!
We met Craig backstage to talk about the collection and he told us it was inspired by circles and the patterns you can create with them; and by the song ‘Windmills of my mind’ by Dusty Springfield. We can easily see how someone as creative as Craig identifies with the idea of the mind as a churning mill, how else could he produce such imaginative results? Fab.
