LFW A/W '11 Report: Irwin & Jordan

19 February 2011

The Haymarket hotel was the perfect cosy comforting backdrop for Irwin & Jordan’s first ready to wear fashion show. Having Stuart Rose and Harold Tillman in the front row certainly shows promise for this young designer. English eccentricity led the way with a combination of luxurious silks and outerwear gave tweed a modern twist with one of our favourite looks being grey marl long sleeved top with a floor length sequinned maxi skirt. Zoe's famous antique lace dress as worn by Kate Middleton had been reinvented in an olive green and a strapless red.

She is also known for her relaxed tailoring; including one of Grazia's favourite items from last season - the short suit as worn by Poppy Delevigne in the front row. The grey slate silk pocketed shirt and wide leg silk trousers had a 70’s Charlie girl vibe and the navy three piece suit with pinstripe coat made us stand to attention with Wall St in mind. A very wearable and pretty collection.
