LFW S/S '11 Beauty Report: Erdem

We've never seen a backstage so spacious as at the tent in Bedford Square where we are to check out the much-awaited Erdem show. Everyone's munching on pain au chocolat and quaffing pear juice. Hm, delish! Today, the Erdem girls are radiant Ballets Russes-esque woodland nymphs. Skin superstar Nichola Joss is layering no less than 4 layers of St. Tropez dark mist for a dark but sheer finish, before working brand new pink and gold illuminators (out S/S '11) into the feet, hands and shoulders during the model line-up.

Adam Gallimore has conjurred up gently flushed faces that have been exposed to the sun for a day. The recipe? MAC chalky blonde ash shadow in eye sockets, a slick of MAC face & body on skin, posy creme blush and gloss creme patted onto cheeks. All finished off with a textured plait wrapped around the model's heads by none other than Charles Worthington. Sigh... It's so lovely, we're dancing for joy.
