Today saw an injection of 1930’s decadence at New York fashion week. Both Donna Karan and Marc Jacobs looked to the decade to bring the models alive on the runway. Backstage at Donna Karan, Charlotte Tilbury created a Thirties-style rounded oval-shaped eye made modern with gold and bronze shades topped with eye gloss.
‘It’s "digitised"; perfect, gorgeous, glossy, luminous skin,’ Charlotte told us. ‘It’s right for now because of the 3D high shine effect - for summer, try wearing a brown mascara just at the roots of your lashes, it opens up and gives depth to your eye without you looking like you’re wearing mascara’.
