PFW A/W'10 show report: Isabel Marant

She's prides herself on being the fashion editors' wardrobe favourite and this collection, for A/W'10 was no different. With its swinging 60s soundtrack and Gothic church-like back drop the collection didn't disappoint. Skinny capri trousers were a go-go; sequinned, printed and - our favourite - leather with zips; were paired with lame bomber jackets, striped mohair sweaters, disco lurex knits - we couldn't help but think Grease was the word with Rizzo in mind. Accessories were strong again, and ladylike courts with bows were a refreshing change from the hardwear of late. Thick obi belts gave great waists, and get ready for thi.... bags! For the first season, Marant has ventured into ladylike leather shoulder bags that will work with any look.  It's all in the detail with Marant, from the layered denim shirt, the swinging ponytails and pulled-up collars it's a total lifestyle look. And believe us, we're all going to be buying into it...
