PFW AW10 Beauty Blogger: Roland Mouret and Vivienne Westwood

07 March 2010

MAC make-up artist – and guest blogger for Grazia Daily during Fashion Weeks – Neil Young is working away in Paris to bring you another dose of backstage beauty...

Well what a day!! Spent the day with the fabulous Val Garland. After dragging myself out of bed - and believe me it’s getting harder by the day - I headed to my first show RM Roland Mouret. Val used human hair to extend and add volume to the girl’s eyebrows. Brooke Shields was the inspiration! Not an easy task but incredibly effective. Several cans of hairspray later (that's what we used to stick the hair to the brows) and the girls looked gorgeous!

Straight after the show finished, we headed out of town to one of my other favourite shows Vivienne Westwood. It was so amazing. The inspiration was Hans Christian Anderson characters from children's books. Were they boys imitating girls or girls imitating boys?? You decide... By far my favourite show of the season! A show where we actually got to be makeup artists and play!

I'm so tired now I can't wait to get into bed and have an early night. My alarm is set for 5am.... again!
