AW10 PFW Report; RM by Roland Mouret

05 March 2010

It was a civilised start to the day in Paris this morning as everyone piled into a big modern space for RM by Roland Mouret's A/W collection. A large X chalked onto to the grey carpet marked the diagonal catwalk and as the music started beating the sleekly styled models filed out...elegant cocktail dresses with super chic silk hoods lead the way for sharp yet slouchy tailored looks. Sexy short skirt suits, and velvet details on deconstructed tailoring. The leather and wool jackets, and tops with cape details on were definite highlights as were the brilliant two tone pieces where colours were contrasted- mauve pieces with mocha lined lapels showed a fresh way of doing colour blocking. The master of the Galaxy dress churned out some incredible cocktail frocks, from draped details with gorgeous double whip belts to sparkling blue embellishment....we want to go to Roland's party!
