Rossella Jardini, Moschino’s designer, has had one busy week; two major shows and the launch of the new Maison Moschino hotel.
The Moschino show invitation always provides a hint of the collection to come. This season it was an enormous cardboard gold hoop earring, which became the light motif throughout the show – in a bracelet, a handbag, a print on a blouse or jingling from a black jacket. All of the models sported gold hoops plus black black cowboy hats big sunglasses - all very 80’s cowgirl.
There were lashings of Moschino’s classic pieces, Chanel-esque skirt suits edged with chains or gold hoops, logo t-shirts, Flamenco ruffles on skirts, a leopard print trench coat and some cute visual tricks. The best? A spiral bound notebook bag.
