MFW Beauty Report: Blumarine

27 February 2010

Show: Blumarine

Location: Moda Donna

Look: Glunge = glam meets grunge.

The beauty look being created is reminiscent of a cool and fun loving girl, with once again a slight hint of an early Kate Moss.

The hair is being described as a look that you want to have or want to touch. Eugene Soulieman for Wella Professionals has taken the hair helm at Blumarine and along with a collection of techno animal prints, he's creating 'hair needs to be cool'. In order to achieve such a hair do, he used large tongs along with a bit of finger weaving to create imperfect, wispy waves, held together with Wella Professionals' Start Up and Crystal Styler. The final technique - and the most important to the look - is the hair massage. This involves messing up the hair into a sexy un-done do.

Charlotte Tilbury was backstage doing what she does best: smokey, blown-out eyes and the ultimate beige lip. She started by blending eyeshadows in chocolate brown and black to create a smudgey effect - 'this is foxy feline meets smokey eyes, with a Brigitte Bardot lip,' she told us. If you want to achieve the same blend, try MAC's Feline pencil to line eyes and mix Print and Corduroy shadows. Et voila! Kate Moss, eat your heart out!
