LFW Beauty Report: Issa

24 February 2010

The show: Issa
Where: The BFC Tents Somerset House

Look: These are transatlantic 'NYLON' girls: A bit little eccentric, a little Daphne Guinness and with a dash of Jackie O thrown in for good measure.  Pat McGrath created a modern, sophisticated beauty look which focused on totally seamless skin using Max Factor’s Second Skin Foundation. She told us that the technology in make-up has totally revolutionized the success of the nude make-up look.  Add some strong black winged liner and a deep red mouth and you get today’s very lovely, very classic beauty look which stands well apart from the grunge trend we have seen so much this season. Hair stylist Malcolm Edwards told us that the hair look ‘is just great for short girls.' L'Oreal Professional products were used to create skyscraper quiffs and a top knot that sat directly behind it. 'She's busting a serious look with this elongated silhouette said Malcolm. Fabulous!
How to tip: Forget having to decide between having length or volume from your mascara.  Pat McGrath told us that you should never be scared be scared to use two different types to achieve both.  Who knew?!
