LFW Beauty Report: Pringle

23 February 2010

The Show: Pringle
The Location: The Serpentine Gallery
The Scene:  It’s so dark in the backstage area and several models have ordered in vast quantities of Maccy D’s. One model is dipping her fries in vanilla ice cream topped with caramel sauce…Whatever floats your boat!

The Look: In make-up Charlotte Tilbury worked up amazing ‘1920’s photo faces’ mirroring the tonal caramels, browns and taupes within the collection.  These women are handsome and super cool.  Eyes were a shade of blended smokey sepia with a slick of pale lemon liner in the waterline for a clear defined shape.  The brand new MAC lipstick in ‘Till Tomorrow’ create a delightful barely-there mouth. (There were only two lipstick samples backstage which meant they were being chopped up and urgently passed around the makeup artists.) We witnessed another return to the 90’s once more today with a simple and minimal hair look at Pringle.  A centre parting and soft waves from the mid-lengths to tips demonstrated bare chic at its best.
Hero products: MAC sculpting powders in Shadowy, Taupe and Shadester for some serious definition.
How to Tip: Twist hair up into a loose bun, spritz with Tigi Catwalk Root Boost, blast with a dryer and leave to cool.  Release (some time later) and enjoy textural soft waves.
