The Show: Jonathan Saunders
Where: The Old Brewery, Brick Lane
The Look: Grunge alert people! This MASSIVE autumn/winter trend rears its head again. Jonathon Saunders girls are nerdy, experimental students. Make-up artist Lucia Pieroni is doing ‘make up like they’re not actually wearing any,’ and a soft grey eye that enhances the girls’ natural eye pigmentation. The lovely Paul Hanlon is creating flat and matted doll-like hair that spreads web-like over the shoulders using his favourite Rockaholic spray gel to reflect the fractured, frayed clothes from the collection.

MAC make-up artist – and guest blogger for Grazia Daily during London Fashion Week – Neil Young is back with another expert look at what went on backstage...
Well what a week! Highs, lows, the early mornings - and I've just done my final show of the week here in London. Jonathan Saunders was really beautiful. Simple make-up but with a pretty cool edge. It was about making the girls enhanced without over beautifying them. They need to look polished but still remain looking like a makeup artist hadn't spent hours perfecting them. Lucia Pieroni created the look using Copperplate eyeshadow around the eye and Dainty Mineralize blush on the cheek to create a flush not a blush! The largest backstage area of the week and boy was it the coldest! Everyone was freezing... Literally! After the show I headed to get some lunch and then get myself ready to do it all over again. Next stop: Milan.
