LFW Beauty Report: Kinder Aggugini

20 February 2010

The Show: Kinder Aggugini

Location: Somerset House – the tents

Look: Napoleonic lady called Justine who was a strong, powerful politician, a femme fatale. Hair is sprayed black and scraped back in a harsh centre parting and up in a clamped, fan shape pony on the top of their heads. Amazing silhouettes, as is always the way at Kinder, and filled with contradictions. Malcolm Edwards for L'Oreal professional talked us through the structured hair, describing it as 'Suzie Bick in a bat cave!'

Make-up legend Pat McGrath was directing make-up using Max Factor: 'draw the lips guys!' She created a red wine stain using 'midnight plum', as if the girls had been sipping on red wine. A grey smoky eye was created with eyeliner close to the lash line for a 'stronger masculine Napoleonic look'.

The nail girls have taken on their first show, painting the nails a matte burgundy to match the lips and collection. Just beautiful.
