LFW Beauty Report: Hannah Marshall

20 February 2010

The Show: Hannah Marshall

Where: My Beautiful Fashion Venue

The Scene: Ummm. Think sardine tin and a late schedule and you've got it. This backstage area is tiny and is being shared by two shows- both running late. The result? A fair amount of tension.

Everybody is: Squashed

The Look: The beauty look here today is inspired by the collection itself; the stength and power of the clothing but also the soft plush velvety tectures that Hannah has used this season. Make up artist Alex Box has created a fabulous architectural and contoured beauty look which is all about the way in which the brow disappears into the dusky silvery smoky eye. Oh and then THAT defined blue/black lip. The lines of the makeup are relatively harsh but textures are soft creating an intriguing contrast. Over in hair Lyndell Mansfield has conjured up a sexy powerful look that is all about silhouettes and graphic shapes to reflect those in the collection. Think Grace Jones, 80's electro and powerdressing and you've got it. Two glossy twisted fins of hair slicked back into a long, soft, whispy and windblown ponytail. Quite divine.

Hero products: MAC Lip Mix in Blue and Black and L'Oreal Professionnel Metallic Gloss (applied to the hairline at the temple for some subtle shine).
