LFW Beauty Report: Hakan Yildirim

20 February 2010

The Show: Hakan Yildirim

Where: The Dairy, Wakefield Street

The Scene: Chilled out and fun fashion heaven - there are some seriously big names walking here today, Lara Stone, Natalia Vodianova, Natasha Poly, Anja Rubik and the list goes on...  All the girls are having their clothes fitted and doing test walks. Still a team of people adding finishing touches to the clothes on sewing machines.

Overheard: Lara talking about her upcoming wedding...

The Look: Lucia Pieroni told us that this collection is full of super short hemlines, hence they wanted a simple, uniform quite androgynous beauty look. Makeup is about highlighting and shape. Brows are being bleached out and an edgeless smokey taupe eye created with MAC Copperplate. Lips are erased nude mouth and forget mascara for this look! White matte eyeshadow is being generously applied as a fabulous highlighter. Meanwhile hairstylist Luigi is conjuring up a look that is part masculine, part feminine and with texture a plenty. Hair is parted strongly down the middle as is graphic, shiny and almost wet look on the top, while the rear section is formed of soft luxurious waves created with John Frieda Volume Mousse and a one inch tong. These girls are strong but feminine modern goddesses.

How to tip: Luigi tells us that putting mousse through the lengths of the hair and blow drying as normal adds a wonderful high- shine finish.

Hero Products: MAC Face and Body Foundation, MAC Eyeshadow in Copperplate, John Frieda Frizz Ease and Luxurious Volume Mousse.
