LFW Beauty Blogger: Maria Grachvogel

20 February 2010

MAC make-up artist – and guest blogger for Grazia Daily during London Fashion Week – Neil Young is here with a look at what happens backstage at the shows...

After the buzz of last night’s show, I had very little sleep but I had a long day ahead. My first stop of the day? Maria Grachvogel.

The fantastic Mel Arter created the 90's statuesque supermodel look in cold browns and taupes on the eyes (a taste of A/W collections from MAC) and an almost dirty grey plum on the lip using Stone lip pencil and a new plum lip colour from the fall collections.

The show was held at the Waldorf hotel. A small and intimate show and the clothes were stunning. For a London show, it was incredibly civilised! Usually it’s chaos which makes a very nice change from the last minute dramas!

Straight after the show, I had just enough time to head to the Pro store in Soho, grab some product for a show on Sunday, eat a quick snack and then head to my makeup test for Clements Ribeiro. It’s now 7pm and I'm hoping to be in bed for 12… I have a 4:30am start tomorrow! Well, you can but hope!
