Bernhard Willhelm: Back to nature

Fantasy played a big part in today’s line up and Bernard Willhelm continued the theme with his forest girls. Max Delorme for MAC wanted a ‘gone to bed with make-up on and rubbed it with their fingers’ look. He instructed the models to rub their eyes from right to left while the mascara was still wet and added Taupe Satin eye shadow under the eye then smuded it to create an unperfect effect. The pink cheek matched the lips thanks to the use of Blush Ombre and just before the girls walked onto the runway, their faces were spritzed with Fix+ for a ‘sweaty but romantic and womanly' feel.

Karine Bigler created a very natural, ethnic inspired hair. Each girl had a different flower integrated into their straight or bird's nest hairstyle. Some were wrapped with mesh and others could have been mistaken for flower arrangements! ‘I had to think and learn to be a florist for this show,’ Karine told us. It worked perfectly: the collection was very bright so the floral hair pieces were the ideal extension of the extravagant dresses.
