PFW show report: Isabel Marant

There was excitement in the air as we piled into the Couvent Des Cordelier for the much anticipated Isabel Marant show (we're in love with the A/W collection). The picturesque arches set a romantic scene in dim lighting....and then...bright lights and blaring music; as the bleached blonde, sun kissed models filed out it was clear we were right where Marant left off last season. Suede studded slouchy boots and playful skirts with peasant tops and structured tweed jackets set the scene for bohemian babes with attitude. The collection played out in colour stories from metallic, fucshia pink (some excellent trousers), into blues, then black and finally metallic again. Highlights included sawn off seersucker skinny jeans, strong shoulder jackets with jewel embellishment and to-die-for metallic slouchy trousers- effortless and gorgeous. These are pieces we want to wear now...take us to spring!
