Bruno (not Sasha Baron Cohen) Pieters, had the oooo factor backstage. A ‘futuristic summer look’, as Neil Moodie for Bumble and Bumble explained, it was ethereal beauty with a modern twist. Rudi Cremers for MAC was inspired by the collection’s ‘white, black, transparent and lingerie coloured summer evening wear’. The face was slightly icy: ‘I wanted a cold glow, on a moonlit summer evening’. The face was highlighted on the bones and Mineral Ice Compact was applied over conditioned and plumped skin (look out for MAC’s latest Prep + Prime Plumping product coming soon). The lips were 70’s/80’s inspired with Lip Erase and Fleshpot Lipstick layered to pale down the lips and then the cupids bow and bottom centre of the lip highlighted with Irridescent Powder in Silver Dusk. The eyes continued on the moonlit theme with Creme Colour Base in Luna and Delicacy on the lids and White and Battery eye pencil inside the lash line.
Neil Moodie’s hair creation was simple and futuristic using the plexi clear rubber used to make the shoes. Forming a tube, it was used at the start of the ponytail so that it sat at a 90 degree angle ‘so it’s not just a ponytail’ and lower down a rubber band was used to contain the super sleek ponytail to stop it swishing around. Perfectly sleeked with Bumble and Bumble’s Sumo Wax and finished with Big Shine and De-Frizz it’s the ‘facelift ponytail’ as Neil put it.
