Speeding across town to arrive backstage at Alberta Ferretti, hair and make-up preparations were slightly tense. After three tests, three looks in two cities, it seemed the looks for the show needed to change again....however with Guido for REDKEN and Lucia Peroni for MAC at the helm, the models were in safe hands. ‘It’s a bit Edwardian, country women with class and femininity,’ Guido told us. The hair was set in a wet look finger wave at the back of the hair, pinned up initially to set and taken out just before show time. Make up was a case of simple looking yet technical make up. 'It’s about a rich and chic woman working in her garden, who’s being fabulous,’ Lucia told us. Slightly glowing from the heat, the face had a waxy, dewy look and MAC’s Face Gloss was the key product in creating the look. Temples, cheeks, chin, lips and the bridge of the nose were carefully highlighted with the gloss and strobe cream was applied to exposed skin on the model’s bodies. The key to getting the model’s skin looking super healthy was a cleanse, moisturise and mini facial routine which most definitely worked!
