The first show of the day takes us to the Milan Fashion Week tents for the Max Mara show. A gorgeous ‘Lauren Hutton coming out of a steam room’ inspired look sets us up for the day ahead. A ‘work in progress’ (ooh) MAC bronze pigment called Crush Metal was being trialled by make-up maestro Tom Pecheux and we’ve all fallen in love with it. It was mixed into MAC’s Face G loss and applied over the lids and brushed up into the brows and on the tops of the cheek bones. Also debuting on the cheeks was a brand new product out next year, a dual mineralize bronze with shimmer; Blush Ombre in Ripe Peach which we can’t wait to get our hands on. The foundation was mixed with Care Blends face oils (sigh, also not out yet) to get a really dewy, healthy complexion. Hair by Luigi was, like much of the hair we’ve seen so far, dual textured. The front sleeked down with John Frieda Smoothing Creme and Frizz Ease for a wet look and the back left loose with soft waves, slightly tonged and defined with even more Frizz Ease.
