First Look: Louise Goldin for Ballantyne!

Central Saint Martins graduate and knitwear designer Louise Goldin debuted her first capsule collection for historic Scottish cashmere brand Ballantyne yesterday in Somerset House's grand Portico Rooms. The 40-piece range, that goes on sale early next year, is the first of two collections that features both Goldin's signature thigh -skimming body-con knit dresses and sheer diamond- panelled tops that are totally in keeping with Ballantyne's heritage, as well as very next season cut-out leggings in a palette of pinks, blues and greens. The fusion with one of London's hottest new names, hailed for her innovative and edgy way of designing knitwear, has not only strengthened her brand's British roots but has also given Ballantyne that all - important cool factor!
