LFW show report: Jasmine Di Milo

In between the crazy set schedule of LFW's many catwalk extravaganzas, there are always shows of a smaller more intimate feel, which are a welcome respite from the pushing, shoving and fashion rage we may otherwise encounter. So, through to Somerset House's glam Portico Showrooms to view Jasmine Di Milo's SS10 collection we went. Soothing music and large screens draped in sheer fabrics played on repeat hazy fashion films of Jasmine's girls, and a glass of champagne only added to our newly found chilled state of mind. But, enough about the ambience, let's talk clothes... We all know Al Fayed's designer daughter creates seriously covetable evening dresses, and this season as well as tough edged separates, she of course, delivered them in abundance. Want something long flowing and ethereal? Then the faded sage green column dress made of the finest chiffon or slate grey marbled print maxi is for you. But Jasmine isn't just about pretty fluff, luxe frocks with a bad girl twist like the claret leather mini dress or black beaded number will keep her young party girl fans happy too. Interspersed with laced up rock chick suede skinnies, bodices and 70s inspired silver lurex tasselled hero jackets, we really wouldn't mind owning a piece or two. All we need do is remortgage.
