Alexa Chung, X Factor winner Alex Burke, Peaches Geldof and Fashion Royalty Anna Wintour were among the crowd at Luella Bartley’s spring/summer 2010 show this morning. The collection was a girly girl’s dream; from shiny patent bows atop the models piled-high hair to heart cut out necklines and Peter Pan collared princess coats. There was a distinctly early ‘60’s feel to the clothes; cute high waist shorts and trousers in black and white polka dot fabric, super short swingy dresses and coats and ruffle cocoon dresses with oversized polka dots had us thinking of Miami cocktail hours circa 1963. And while women over the age of 30 will probably pass on some of the more saccharine overtly girly pieces, the shrunken boucle jackets and sexy-as-hell point toe stilettos, would make a brilliant addition to any wardrobe come the spring.
