Kate Moss watch: Chanel’s star-studded front row!

Trust Karl Lagerfeld to pull in the fashion power-players for the Chanel A/W '09 show. There was fashion newbie Freida Pinto, who'd stopped by Karl's atelier for a sneak preview of the show yesterday, looking resplendent and not at all overwhelmed by her first ever Chanel show - this despite admitting she's had a long-running fashion crush on Karl Lagerfeld. Claudia Schiffer sitting calmly waiting for the show to begin. Mila Jovovich stopping by next to her to chat supermodel tips. Lily Allen posing to show off her newly cut hair. And the most dramatic FROW entrance we've seen, well, since forever for Kate Moss. The photographers almost trashed the catwalk trampling to get pictures of the supermodel, who arrived wearing super-wide flares with a white trim (we're guessing Chanel? But maybe from her own Topshop collection?) and newly dyed two-tone hair - take note, because she's always a trendsetter. Kate herself seemed totally bemused by the reaction, laughing until she was almost crying at the frenzy. Whipping off her RayBan Wayfarers she took pride of place on the front row, nestled in between Jamie Hince and Mario Testino and waving to ex-boyfriend Jefferson Hack across the catwalk. She sang along cheerily to the tune that started the show ‘Love to Love You Baby...' and then appeared to concentrate very hard on the mainly monochrome with flashes of green and sugary pink collection. Hmm... compiling a mental shopping list, Kate? We certainly hope so!

  • I would give my right arm for a front row seat at the Chanel show. Karl Lagerfeld is my fashion crush. I love Chanel its such a classic if you’re only going to buy one LBD make it Chanel a true investment. With the stock market as volatile as it is at the moment I'm investing all of my money into Chanel clothes they are classics and will never loose their value.

  • Have you seen THAT? Oh, the new Chanel collection is incredible!!!
They say, apparently, Lily Allen borrows her Chanel stuff?! Ha-ha-ha! One can't make Princess Diana out of the country girl, not even professor Higgins!

  • Classic but would have loved to see her show us how individual, effortless high fashion's really done; too many samey outfits from her of late. Perhaps the credit crunch is hitting?!! New 'do a little too chav chic for my liking, no doubt i'll be eating my words in before the years out.
