NEWSFLASH: sheer elegance at Rochas

06 March 2009

We're at the Rochas showroom in Paris, and we've just clapped eyes on these beautiful '40s-inspired pieces from new designer Marco Zanini, who used to design at Halston. There is a serious return to the essence of the house here – very French with cute detailing like mesh peep holes under the arms on a classic cardi. The house label is on the inside of pockets galore, and there are petticoat details on skirts which you can only see when you cross your legs. This is a collection full of surprises, down to the zip details on the sleeves of beaded evening dresses. We love!
