Gareth Pugh isn't afraid of a challenge. In fact, breaking the fashion mould is his forte - creating clothes that transcend trends and wearability (although check out his A/W ‘09 offerings - there are some very wardrobe-friendly pieces in there). So we're not really surprised to hear Gareth's latest plans: a footwear and make-up range. And, just because it's Friday, we've had a little fun imagining what, in our wildest dreams, Pugh could possibly create. The shoes would be higher than any we've ever seen before (can you get more dangerous than those vertiginous Pradas?) and style-wise we predict blacker than the darkest night leather, a thong front, ma-hu-sive platforms, complete with nails, spikes, studs, maybe even miniature chainsaws dangling off the heels and a witchcraft spell cursed upon them before they hit the runway. Perhaps. And as for the make-up, we're hoping for the following: stick-on scary eyebrows, black blusher, furry lipstick and maybe a cyborg sweat/shimmer stick. Hmmm. Well, the minute we find out for real, you'll be the first to know. But in the meantime, check out our Paris coverage as it happens... [WWD]
