Fresh from the triumph of launching his New York flagship (a shop OPENING.....now that's something to boast about these days), Matthew Williamson is on a bit of a roll. He was even staying calm backstage as the models were prepped in a collection Team Williamson were saying was all about futuristic heirlooms – graphic prints paired with luxurious fabrics. And with Eva Longoria and Santigold in the front row, he was doing about twice as well as any other designer on the NY schedule. So far, the celebrity count has been flatlining, folks. Not so much as a glimpse of old reliables like Victoria Beckham to while away the waiting time. Hollywood stylist, Rachel Zoe, was also perched up front and was paying close attention to the glittery dresses. She has a busy time coming up with the Oscars at the end of the week, and Matthew is a favourite with the young West Coast set. What would be catching their eye this season?
WHAT WE LOVED:
1. The multi-coloured mohair shrug coats.

2. The long bright coral cardi over skinny leather jeans.

3. The jewelled cap-sleeved silver satin crepe cocktail dress.

4. The metallic brocade baby doll smock dress.

5. The bronze and turquoise floor length sequinned gown.
