Stars come out to play for MJ

09 September 2008

If Marc Jacobs is the king of New York Fashion Week, you could call the A-listers who flock to his front row every season his courtiers. This year was no exception. Helena Christensen, Nicole Richie and Winona Ryder were packed in tight whilst Jennifer Lopez cooed over Victoria Beckham's new hair and posed for pictures. Kanye West and Jay-Z looked lonely and somewhat out of place, though we did spy fashion power-duo Anna Wintour and her daughter Bee Shaffer whispering to each other whilst looking over at the rappers. Ooh er! After the show, the stars separated from the 4,000-strong crowd packed into the tent - in a space normally usually fit for only 200 people - for the super-exclusive after-party at The Greenwich Hotel. Two queues wrapped around the building of Marc well-wishers wanting to crash but no one was getting in other than the stars - and one Grazia fashion insider who's yet to wake up and tell us all about it. Oh, the frustration! We'll report back as soon as she does. In the meantime, check out these cute polaroids of a stellar front row.
