Look who's been working in our charity shop today!

23 June 2009

It's only Meg Matthews, interior designer and events organiser extraordinaire. She took time out of her ridiculously busy schedule to volunteer at Mary Portas's Living And Giving Shop, our pop-up charity shop at Westfield Shopping Centre in London. So, how does it feel to be a salesgirl again? "I love it," grinned Meg. "I used to work in retail - in Joseph and in a King's Road fashion boutique - so I'm used to it. But I forgot just how nice it is to be chatting to customers all day long." And what's Meg's top tip for charity shop shoppers? "The Oxfam in St John's Wood. I got a pair of gold Manolos there for £35."
