Pucci, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, vintage Thierry Mugler, Armani, Missoni, DVF, YSL - so, how does this little lot sound? Makes you want to go shopping doesn't it? Well, get yourself down to Westfield London tomorrow because Mary's Living and Giving Shop is throwing a SUPER SATURDAY, a whole day of designer goodies at fraction of the price - all in the name of Save The Children.
The biggest thing we've had to do to make Grazia and Mary Portas's Living & Giving shop a reality is to get great clothes to sell. You the readers have been fabulously generous with your donations, and so have brands such as Nike and Oasis. But one of the most generous gestures so far came from Maysoune Ghobash and Sofia Barratieri - the co-founders of web start-up www.motilo.com, a fashion retail website that launches later this year - who gathered all their wealthy friends together on Tuesday and had a Donate, Don't Dump lunch!
Held at an incredible art-filled apartment and with a violinist playing beautifully in an ante-room, Grazia's Melanie Rickey spoke to the assembled 30 or so ultra chic women, each of whom fall into the "mega-wealthy" category. We told them the story of Marys charity shop show on BBC2, and the difficulties faced by charity retail shops to get better clothes. They were instantly generous, sending us the clothes you see here and much more. All of them will be at our Westfield Living and Giving Shop tomorrow (Super Saturday June 20). It promises to be a fashionfest of all fashionfests....so, what are you waiting for?!
